The German ordinance “on the Provision of Products on the Market” “ProdSG“ – requires that, “If certain rules must be observed when using, supplementing or maintaining a product in order to ensure the protection of the safety and health of persons, a user manual and operating instructions for the product in German must be supplied with the product when it is made available on the market [...].”

The core task of technical documentation is to efficiently enable the safe and complete use of a product. With the instruction manual, the manufacturer or the distributor provides information about its proper, intended and safe use. It ensures satisfied users and also serves as good advertising for your product.
